Our 2nd day on vacation in California.

I had NO idea...

Zach and I were off to see the main attraction in the Sequoia National Forest, The General Sherman Tree, which is the World's Largest Tree! After a long hike down to the General Sherman, which by the way is the most amazing thing I have ever seen, we finally reached it. There was already a family there taking pictures of it and I offered to take some pictures for them if they wouldn't mind returning the favor. They agreed. After all of the pictures were taken, the other family left, leaving just Zach, The General Sherman and I. We were both awe struck by this tree. I was running around it taking pictures of almost everything I saw. When I was snapping a picture, Zach told me to look at a chipmunk -I'm a huge animal person- so I of course start snapping pictures of a chipmunk. When I was through clicking away on the camera and I was just standing there in awe, I hear Zach behind me say "Hey Babe" and I turned around to find him down on one knee with a ring in his hand and tears in his eyes -he won't admit this part though. I, being the sap that I am, immediately started crying. I grabbed him and lifted him up and gave him the biggest hug, all without saying one word to him. He kind of pulled back, looked at me and said, "So is that a yes?" I was speechless and all I could do was just shake my head yes, cry some more and kiss him. He then slipped the gorgeous ring on my finger and our fairy tale keeps getting better and better...
